Say Goodbye to Foggy Glasses with Zenni’s Anti-Fog Lenses

Zenni is donating 5,000 pairs of anti-fog glasses to essential workers on the front lines

Novato, Calif. — Zenni, the nation’s largest online eyewear retailer, today announced a two-in-one anti-fog + anti-reflective lens solution to solve a significant pain point for glasses wearers during the pandemic. Developed in 2020 as a response to the pervasive consumer issue of glasses fogging up while wearing face coverings, these new anti-fog coated lenses are the only low priced fog-resistant glasses on the market, with the new lenses priced at just $12.95.

From healthcare to transportation, essential workers are the true heroes of 2020 and beyond. To say thank you to those keeping us safe and providing essential service, Zenni is giving away 5,000 pairs of Zenni frames with new anti-fog + anti-reflective coating to workers across the United States. Given these essential workers are always wearing masks in the workplace – whether it’s in hospitals, communities or classrooms – Zenni’s new lenses allow them to work comfortably and see clearly while wearing protective face coverings. Essential workers can submit their name, occupation and email address here with a few words about how anti-fog glasses would help in the workplace to enter giveaway to receive their free pair.

“We continually hear that one of the biggest frustrations for glasses wearers during the pandemic is lenses fogging up and obstructing vision. We mobilized quickly to develop a high-quality product that addresses the need for people at a fraction of the price of other options on the market,” said Bai Gan, Chief Product Officer at Zenni.

Zenni’s innovation team leveraged scientific research and new technology to develop a unique system to prevent fogging for glasses wearers, while staying at an attainable price for consumers. Each pair of anti-fog coated lenses comes with a special lens cloth that activates the anti-fog properties to help lenses stay clear, no matter the circumstances. When used together, the lens coating with activator lens cloth can provide several hours of fog-free lenses before needing to wipe with the lens cloth again. Zenni’s activator cloth lasts far longer than any other on the market —  for up to 12 months and 1,000 uses. The lenses also come with the added benefit of anti-reflective coating to reduce glare.

“At Zenni, we have the utmost appreciation for medical professionals, first responders, teachers and all other  essential workers who are going into work every day. These essential workers should not have to worry about the irritating issue of fogging glasses impairing their vision while protecting their health by wearing a mask,” said Sean Pate, Brand Marketing and Communications Officer at Zenni.

Beyond the pandemic use case, Zenni anti-fog lenses provide a solution for glasses wearers in cold, rainy or humid weather, as well as for outdoor athletes, as lens fogging happens anytime there is a temperature difference between a wearer’s glasses and the outside environment. That’s why glasses can fog up after walking into a warm room after being out in the cold. Fog can even occur when cooking over a stove, drinking hot beverages, opening the dishwasher or oven – Zenni’s new anti-fog and anti-glare lenses ensure comfort, safety and well-being for glasses wearers in any environment.
