Zenni + DeYoungsters Day Out

de Youngsters Day Out

This month, Zenni took time away from all things eyewear as the lead sponsor for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s free all-day event de Youngsters Day Out. 8,000 people attended the annual family-friendly event and participated in hands-on art-making, entertainment, and workshops by local contemporary artists.

Since great vision is always on our mind, we invited our partner, UC Berkeley School of Optometry, to conduct free vision screenings onsite for more than 200 kids. Those that needed a prescription were given a gift card for a free pair of prescription glasses from Zenni. Complimentary Coco & Breezy x Zenni frames with Blokz were also handed out to attendees throughout the day.

Our Impact:

  • 220 kids received a free vision screening with free prescription glasses vouchers if needed
  • 5 serious vision issues identified
  • 3,000 Zenni goodie bags distributed with free sunglasses, cases, and coupons

A record-breaking $526,000 was raised. Proceeds from de Youngsters Day Out support the Equity Schools Partnership Project, which provides in-classroom instructional support, art supplies, and transportation for students in the San Francisco Unified School District.
